Be a Superhero for Free!

While free to play is becoming more and more common, the interesting and unique part of DC Universe is that it’s going free to play on the Playstation 3 not just on the PC. This marks the first of hopefully more to come  free to play games on the PS3. This is great news Sony is finally understanding that free to play is a viable and economic option and is great for PS3 owners who like free to play games.

This particular game may bring some interest in potential PS3 owners. Now that Sony seems to be embracing free to play games with DC Universe Online at least it could bring more and more games of that nature. Games like League of Legends with millions of fans behind it would be great on a PS3.

While DC Universe Online sounds great on the PS3 for free there are a few hiccups to get through to play this decently reviewed MMO. First of all the hard drive space need ed to play this on the PS3 is a little over 16 gigabytes. This amount of space is very large especially for people still using early PS3s with only 20-80 gigabytes of space. If you can get past the space required and the lengthy install time of over an hour, you will be destroying enemies with your customized hero in DCUO. Instead of paying $14.99 (£9.32) a month to play this good looking MMO you can now play it for free on both PS3 and PC.
